Petite Marie

A clever twist on the conventional

Bordeaux formula… in both packaging and taste.

The emphasis is on freshness and fruit.

Aging is in steel tank and/or concrete.

Wood is not used in any form.

Petite Marie Red

100% Cabernet Franc.

Before fermentation, the grapes are macerated at a low temperature to intensify and retain the beautiful aromas of ripe black cherry and blackberry.

Property: The estate of Stéphane Dupuch and family. He took the reins from his father in 1997.

Vineyard: The vineyard covers nearly 148 acres on clay-limestone soils with fine gravel. As of vintage 2024, the property is certified organic and enjoys both the Bee Friendly and HVE certifications.

Grape Varieties: 100% Cabernet Franc, not blended with other varieties as is typical in Bordeaux. The vines selected for Petite Marie average 15 years of age.

Winemaking: The grapes are sorted after picking and undergo maceration with the skins to bring out the aromatic qualities. They are then pressed in a pneumatic press for gentle extraction. Fermentation is in stainless steel tanks with the aim of accentuating suppleness and aroma expression. The wine is aged for 10 months in tank and concrete vats.

Petite Marie Red can be enjoyed on release for its fruit qualities and soft, fresh mouthfeel. Best within 5 years of vintage date.
