Château Sainte-Marie is owned and managed by Stéphane Dupuch and family. Their range features the Entre-Deux-Mers appellation at its best, as well as other innovative white and red wines.

Nearby are the ruins of the 11th century Abbey of La Sauve-Majeure. For centuries, Benedictine monks made wine for mass.

For their Vieilles Vignes bottling, the family utilizes rotary tanks to conduct a cold maceration of the juice with the skins, pre-fermentation, in order to amplify the aromatics.

The vineyards of Château Sainte-Marie cover two hills at higher elevations than is typical for the Bordeaux region, providing ideal sun exposure.

The Vieilles Vignes relies on vines that are, on average, 80 years old.
