AOP Blaye-Côtes de Bordeaux

L’As is the top wine of Haut-Grelot, a true Grand Vin which can stand alongside prestige bottlings from both Right and Left Banks. It is an assemblage of 60% Merlot and 40% Malbec (35 hl/ha) from sandy gravel slopes bordering the Estuary. They do a cold maceration before fermentation and age for 18 months in new barriques. The wood has been skillfully judged and absorbed by the wine. Brilliant, pure, impressive nose of youthful black fruit, full-bodied and fleshy with complementary youthful structure.
